Rotimi Amaechi

First Lady's Comment On Buhari And The Mass Hysteria by Sabinus Eboh

First Lady, Patience Jonathan
Our gentle, soft-spoken Patience Jonathan caused a great stir in the buildup to the 2015 presidential election last two weeks in Cross River State when she insinuated that Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressive Congress, APC Presidential candidate for the 2015 general election in Nigeria, may be suffering from brain damage due to old age and that anybody that mentions change should be stoned.

Since that statement, all hell has been let loose with an exhibition of mass hysteria from the main opposition party.

They APC has reacted by calling her a crude woman with a threat to pull out of the non-violence accord signed with the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Abuja.

The issuance of threat and violence by the APC anytime aspersion is cast on their candidate smacks of hypocrisy on their part. As far as one could remember, APC has remained the greatest culprit in character assassination and attack on personality instead of facing issues.

If we recall vividly, APC, through Lai Mohammed threw the first stone when they referred to the President as running a ‘clueless’ government. Bisi Akande followed on the heels when he referred to the President as a ‘kindergarten President’, alluding that he is learning on the job.

OBJ's Birthday And A Football Show: The Politics Of Old Age - By Sabinus Eboh

Anybody conversant with Obasanjo’s politics in Nigeria will definitely know where he is coming from. The recent football show by OBJ in the course of celebrating his 78th birthday is part of his deceptive and diversionary tactics to sway the gullible minds to his selfish plans. Nigerian politicians has always shown that for you to be a politician you must first be a good comedian.

This attribute has been so exhibited by no less a person than OBJ. It was OBJ who during the PDP campaign rally of 2006 in Ogun state, when it was rumored that Yaradua is dead, in the most dramatic and comedic manner put a call through to Yaradua on his sick bed, with his phone on speaker, to the hearing of all present, ask the now infamous question “Umaru are you dead?”  The rest today, is history.

“Jega Will Go, Heavens Won’t Fall” – Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has described outbursts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the possible removal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega as “mere comedy”, stressing that the President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, could sack him if he wishes.

The Governor in a statement on Wednesday said the APC should stop acting as if Nigeria belongs to the party.

Fayose said: “By turning themselves to advocates and defenders of the INEC Chairman, the APC and its agents have shown that they have a deal with Jega to manipulate the elections and that deal will be frustrated if he is asked to leave office.”

Tinubu Would Have Been In Jail By Now – Fani-Kayode

Fani and Tinubu

Ahead of the Presidential and general elections slated for March 28 and April 11 respectively, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, PDPPCO Monday urged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC to pray for the fortune of its Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, rtd,  because he was in trouble and surrounded by those he termed, snakes and vampires.

In a statement Monday by the Director, Media and Publicity, PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani- Kayode said that the national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his aides were not God, just as he asked them to pray for late Funsho Williams’ soul.
